So far the only information given is bug fixes and improvements. We could see an iPad version later today as Apple has not updated the developer portal. If you are not part of the developer program do not install as your phone will become unusable. Downgrade to iOS 6 and wait.
To install iOS 7 beta 2 go to Settings>General>Software Update. The update will take some time to download and install.
[UPDATE: An iPad version has been posted on the developer portal!]
Instagram today announced that it would be brining video sharing to both iOS and Android. The update is available now in the App Store and will allow you to take 15 second video clips and upload them much like vine. Also you can add filters and stabilize your video. The app doesn’t loop like vine and doesn’t play the videos automatically. It will be interesting to see if people stay with vine or go with Instagram or use both.
I thought I would share some interesting things I have found in the beta for iOS 7.
– The Clock app not only shoes the correct time but the second handle actually moves around the clock
-Maps has a night time viewer.
– When you have set a timer the time remaining will be on the lock screen under the time signature.
– Twitter/Facebook sharing from notification center is gone
– Spotlight search has changed from the most left of the home screen to being pulled down from any home screen for navigation.
– You can use your camera to redeem iTunes Gift Cards much like you can in iTunes For Mac.
-iTunes Radio is censored to all cursing words. (May change in an update).
I am still playing around with the update and there is no doubt things will be changed and added in the releases to follow such as improved battery life and maybe quick reply for iMessage like in the new Mac OS X Mavericks.
The World Wide Developer Conference is in full swing now and to follow what’s going on you can look directly to the left or go to this link for my twitter and see it there. NOTE: for the latest tweets you will have to refresh your browser… Better to just go to the twitter website to be honest.
We are a little under 3 hours away from the World Wide Developers conference and right before the conference Apple has taken down the Apple Store. This could just be for some maintenance or it could be gearing up for the new hardware rumored to be announced today.
